$altychick translates as promiscuous chick in cantonese. She is the pioneer of Hong Kong’s fuck girl emo rap genre. Having befriended and been inspired by a hotbed of local underground rappers and musicians, $altychick started out as a casual, non-committed relationship with her hookup endeavours and fuck boy shenanigans. Since blowing up on Soundcloud with her intrepidly wanton topics, $altychick has been churning out dirty rap that makes the boys blush and the girls hot and heavy (and all others in between very revved up). Ranging from foxy kinky fuckgirl to drunken emo lovergirl, her music is informed by absurdities of the world, which she combats using melodic beats, candid lyrics, and a coy delivery. Featured by Tatler, Timeout and Lifestyle Asia, she has made a name for herself as an artist to watch. Six of her songs were in the top 50 Viral Spotify Hong Kong chart, "call you tonight" topped #2.
